After owning my 23 series Deluxe Eight for 3 years now, I finally found some stampings on the sun visor. it says:

CASCO
Bridgeport, Conn

Is this an original Packard accessory or an after market part like Fulton or maybe J.C. Whitney?

if it has the hinged arms at the sides, Fulton-style, it is after market. The factory visor curves and screws to the drip rails

Packard did use some Casco items but unknown if that was one of them. Where did you find the label and I'll look again. I looked at a NOS visor for unknown year-has to be something with center windshield division though-- and didn't see any obvious stampings. Box is too deteriorated to tell much but the only literature appears Packard printed but didn't find a date.

HH; that looks like the part, There is a center section that joins it together that appears to be fiberglass or something like it. The stamping is very light and is on the outside of the piece that connects to the drip rail (at the bottom of your picture).

This is probably 22-3 series-maybe earlier- although looking at those in acc folder, it appears to be missing the chrome like top center trim or joining piece. Everything here is metal though. I'm not sure fiberglass was available then.

Mine is not chrome in the center, maybe they just painted the metal and that is why the center looks different from the side pieces. thanks for the pictures, HH. If you are still interested I could send you the Battery Brain III. I've used some of the parts for the set-up I have now but you could try it out, its for 6 volt and I didn't have very good luck with poitive ground. I probably invested a $100 or so. its not doing any good siting on my work bench. e-amil me Paul
