Welcome to the Forum!

I must say that I am jealous, as that is one of my favorite body styles and color combinations.

yes, it is super nice!! hopefully i will be picking it up soon. i like that it is the picture car on the upholstery ad. gives me a good look at what it should look like when i am finished, many years from now.

the one you saw on ebay of that same color code was a later car near the end of the run. it was 7248 i think. so, i was wondering if maybe there was one out there that is earlier then the one i found. maybe someone will chime in with an earlier example.

As much as I like the horizontal grille-bars and the big sharkfin tallights of the '56 Clipper, I prefer the trim lines of the '55 Clippers - which had some very dramatic looking two-tones. Congrats on what sounds like a nice find.

Please consider adding an entry and pic of this car to the Owner Registery, here. It would make a colorful (pun-intended) entry to the growing list!

Welcome and glad to hear you're going to post a picture of your 55 in the Owner's registry. There are a lot of helpful Packard owners here - don't be shy about asking questions.

no worries. i am sure there will be many questions to ask. i say if you don't know, surely someone else does. this came in quite handy with my BMW z3, there isn't much i don't know about that car now. study, study, study.
