I wondered how long it would take someone to post that here. It's for real sure enough, but not made by Packard. It is very attractive though. Curious the seller says it's a custom, then says 1 of 3 - which sort of defies the definition of custom. I'd guess the starting point may have been the oft-called couple sedan a/k/a coupe victoria or coupe for 5 passengers - one of the rarest of Packard factory body styles.

One of the custom body builders, then? Or commercial body builders?

More likely something done in contemporary times, though Derham or someone else did a couple of similar conversions on late 30s junior chassis. There is a picture of 1 on page 477 in my edition of the Kimes-edited book.

I always liked those Pre-War style "Service Truck" conversions.

Yes, its for real, about 99.42% Packard. The same builder built a 115c truck with a matching trailer with 37 Packard fenders, wheels, lights, also has been for sale. His workmanship and attention to Packard detail is incredible. I believe he also holds the long distance record for travel to a PAC National meet, Vancouver BC to Miami or something like that...I don't think that will ever be bested.

Dave, off the topic but in line with your comment, wasn't there some older guy who drove a Single-Six from somewhere in Alaska to the Centennial in Warren, OH?

I just happened looked up the Long Distance Award yesterday on the PAC website:

1999: 1939 Six Station Sedan, by Richard Sladen from Whisler, BC to Warren, OH, 3,300 miles.

That is a beautiful car! Is that color the original Packard Maroon for 1937? My take is that it is too light, but I've not seen the paint in person, only online, and that's never very accurate.
