Hi all
Can someone/anyone assist me with a drawing or photograph of an early 1920s rear spare (disk) wheel mount, Basically I need to know how it fixes to the cross tube and what stops it from rotating under the weight of the wheel.
Surely there is someone with a 1920s car with a rear mounted spare wheel that can use a digital camera. It cannot be all that hard. I am not wasting your time you can check out my progress on <http://forums.aaca.org/f190/my-next-project-1921-packard-coupe-282900-41.html> You can e-mail me <two_oldlags@optusnet.com.au>

Thank you

Bernie J.

Bernie,

Maybe Phil from Tassie could advise. His '26 333 6 cyl Sedan Limousine is currently at Vintage Motor Garage on the Central Coast. There are pic's on the VMG Site of the resto under way but nothing specific to your query from what I can see. So I'll email Phil who may have some pic's or knowledge which would assist. Or maybe you could contact VMG by phone, Jonathon Houston. DavidM, currently on the 2012 Expedition Across Australia in his '12 Maxwell, may also be able to assist on his return.
