Anyone know of anything musical about/featuring Packards?

We've all heard See the USA in your Chevrolet, or about your merry Oldsmobile.....where is the Packard glory in music?

No undiscovered Souse Marches about Packards? No operas devoted to Packards? No raps? No bagpipe odes?

There was a song about a love affair between a Packard and a Ford. It appeared about 1915.

................Later....................

The Love Story Of The Packard And The Ford, by Harold R. Atteridge and Harry Carroll, 1915.

Then there's Bring Back That Packard Car by Ducks Deluxe, 1973

You could probably find some Packard advertising jingles on Youtube in old Packard ads.

Well... not a whole Packard... but the Ultramatic gets a mention in "Greased Lighting" the fairly raunchy number sung by John Travolta in Grease.

If you're going that route, wasn't there a forties tune called "Caribbean Clipper"?

Wasn't there a mid-late fifties musical starring James Cagney trying to placate his "lady" friend with trinkets to put off their engagment and one of the items in a song, was "a Packard car"?

Amazing stuff!

Little bothered by that Ford/Packard thing. Would you describe that as on the wrong side of the garage????

Maybe a hymn will help....

Anything newer like the Beach boys 409 or others of that genre?
