Pack car designs that were rejected

I don't know why I persist in participating in this forum with the fore-knowledge that someone is going to insult and/or belittle me, but I do enjoy the few civil responses I get.

I was wondering if there are extant images of prospective Packard car designs that were considered for production but rejected for one reason or another?

kind regards,
Garrett Meadows

Sure, there are many surviving images of such vehicles, those that I'm familiar with are in books about Packard and in issues of The Packard Club's Quarterly magazine. I don't actually "own" any of the images so I thing it may present a copyright issue for Big Kev to scan and post here. You could of course buy the books, both of Bob Neal's recent books have some such images, and many back issues of The Packard Cormorant are available.

Anybody ever see Darrin's original design for the Clipper, where the front fender edge met the rear, instead of fading out about halfway?

The 1940 Buick was mentioned... to my eye the 1951 Packard also looks a lot like the Buick offerings of the early '50s. Was there any link between the two firms?
