Hello I'm new into the forum this year.

I have a question?

But first - my Pac is a Standard 2 door Culb sedan from 1949.
I'm asking about the bolts that connect the
> differential ring assembly to the rear axle unit.
>>> which tensile strenght or grade have the screws (12 pce) that hold the Ring into the assembly gearbox. I must change them. 12x (3/8 UNF 24 x 3/4 zoll). The torque Ft-Lb 50-55.

Thanks for information and feedback.

Best regards

Grade 8 bolts would be quite ok. The problem is that they are special bolts with a serrated area just below the head so that they will not turn in the housing as you tighten the nuts. It might be possible to use regular zoll bolts, but you will have to find a way to hold them still in the housing. Perhaps Loctite would do it. What has happened to your old ones?

G'day Mr_Boogie,
Although you've been a member since 2012, first post so to PackardInfo.

And I invite you to include your '49 Club Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry.
