I have been looking around for one with no luck. Who knows where to get one

I'm no expert so I'll qualify this with an if, but "if" this is the same as the glass bowl on my 22nd series my local car parts guy said it was the same as the Thunderbird in 57-59 (?), that's what he ordered and it seemed to work for me. I'm away from the car till early next week, at that point I could get the number off the box if useful to you.

These same type of filters are still used on a lot of farm tractors. Check your local Tractor Supply Store.

Darn I just bought one from packard parts. And it was a AC unit not Carter.

I had a problem with the engine cutting out uder load ,like going up a hill too fast ,would run if low rpm ,I didnt get it but the mechanic pointed out the glass bowl fuel filter revealed the problem ...turned out the fuel filter element was brown instead of white , it was fuel tank gunk ,a dismantle and a shot with brake parts cleaner ,brought it back to its white color and original function ,solved the problem .now I know to watch for it
