yours should indeed have green carpet, as mentioned the 54 vin plate did not have color code inked on it

as a professional appraiser I find NADA to be not the best, CPI is the best for postwar even though they have their faults here and there also, Old Cars Price Guide is probably the best for prewar but they are off in some of the lower condition rarer cars. Bottom line: There is no pefect price guide

Ulrich is not bad but he sold me a 1936 Senior Grille shell that I told him looked like a 1936, he INSISTED it was for a 1935, he shipped to me and i found out it was indeed for a 1936, he would not pay return shipping to return it (though his error) but he did at least take it back..... I guess I just have a long memory.........

I wonder why he is selling out? I did not ask any about the history of the supposed Lionel Barrymore car, he did tell me that he did own it though

The Dawes postwar packard book shows a 53 Mayfair with the louvres, I inspected a 53 Mayfair in Atlanta held by first owner still with louvers attached, it was a very early 53 model

only the first 150 to 200 of the Mayfair 2dr hardtops and convertibles had the rear jet louvres on them, I heard they dropped them cause dealers wanted to make the 53's look a little more different than the 52's......... this is indeed a 2679 model
