I'm told B&S used portions of a 1941 nose clip in making this car. Headlight bezels appear to be Lincoln Zephyr. I'll dig out the original article in a few hours and see what details it might provide.

For being identified as a 40 the headlight treatment is interesting. Did the article say if the 41s had already been introduced and the car was a sleeker version using that styling or were they custom in fender headlights which become a precursor to the coming 41s.

Howard (HH56), -> there and at the following two pages we discussed the car, especially its headlights.

Looking great Kev. Does that 115 have a bit of rumble to it? I like it.

That sound you hear when the light turned green was a car in the next lane that was turning. Pretty sure it was an angry 4-cyl in need of a muffler replacement.

One interesting observation I have in driving the '37 vs the '54. When driving the '37 it's hard to see or judge where the car is in the lane naturally. I find myself way too far to the left. I don't have that same issue in the '54.

I can't really see the front fender while driving, so I think that tends to make me automatically line up my lane position with the side of the hood.

I've found from my position seated position, I need to sight-line up the hood ornament with the white road line on the right. If I do that, then I am in the middle of the lane.

I'm sure it will get better over time. But I understand now why some cars have fender markers installed.
