From a 1930 Portland auto show article. Packards at the show had the brightest colors of any marque.

Pre war Packards are slim pickings lately. For the last 6-12 months the numbers on CL have been coming down considerably.

Hi

That '39 120 seven passenger touring sedan 1702 in Kansas is a rare survivor of models generally employed in the commercial/livery business. In that role, they usually got run into the ground with lots of miles and hard usage. For the few that didn't, long wheelbase sedans were in low demand as used cars, hard to resell.

More choices.

A '49 Super, 23rd Series, good project start:
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/d/1949-packard-gold-4dr-sedan/6518325116.html

A '51 Patrician, 64K miles, turquoise:
https://abbotsford.craigslist.ca/cto/d/packard-model-patrician/6476167850.html

A '53 Clipper Special, manual shift with overdrive, cheap enough to have it shipped:

Added 3-8-2018

Two 22nd Series touring sedans, both ready to enjoy:
A '48 Eight, light tan-green & white:
https://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/d/1948-packard-4-door-sedan/6501618087.html

A '49 Super Eight, dark blue:

Two '57 Clipper project/parts cars:

Kev & Hank, I'd think that '37 115 Business Coupe would be your cheapest way into a '37 Coupe.

Of course it "needs work" but for either of you talented individuals that's part of the challenge. Isn't it?
