I will try a second guess: Is it Marshall Tito?

(o{I}o)

Josip Broz Tito? We still waiting for the decision. All the lights went on. A murmur goes through the room. Vague unrest. Torchbearers. The management comes in. I see the Governing Mayor of Packardia.

And the winner is....John! Congratulation!

Marshal Tito is the right answer.

Kevin, if the car in the last shown pic above is a 1948 Custom Eight Long WB Sedan you could use the pic for the model info. The 1948 2226 long WB is a seldom car.

The former Yugoslavia was a Packardfriendly country. Tito was used to order them by the dozen (click to enlarge).

Gerd, et al: Pleased to have guessed the name in the puzzle. I am not a game guy, can't stand to play parlor or card games. Because of this, I may have not adhered to the rules of the game. If I violated them, then please access assess the appropriate fine so that I may pay it to the PI fund. My apologies to those that read, understood, and were following the instructions.

John, sorry if I confused you. You did violate one rule but to violate this rule was an integral part of the game. Each and every participant of the donation game violated this rule with pleasure. There is no need for apologies. Below please find your bill of expenses including the related rules.

Chang Kai-shek was a wrong answer (the so-called fifth misnomer). Its $1.60.

Related rule:

F) misname the man welcome
The first time costs a dime, the second time costs twice as much as before etc.

Marshal Tito was correct but Mal had the right of way (so-called fourth violation of the right of way). Its $40.

Related rule:

G) disregard the right of way welcome
The buyer always has two turns. That means after getting an answer / photograph / puzzle piece / hint the buyer has 24 hours time to guess the name, to buy again or to relinquish.
The first violation of this right of way costs $5, the second violation costs twice as much as before etc.

$_1.60
$40.00
$41.60

The caption on the photo of the 22nd Series Custom 8 in post #44 says that it is a 2226 which would be a 7 passenger limo or sedan. Can't tell for sure from the picture but it is interesting to note that the windshield and back window are different from the factory standard with a heavier metal frame around the front and extra division bars in the rear.
Bulletproof glass perhaps?
