With all you've changed, if electrical the only things I can think of that would kill yet let it still crank would be a faulty ign switch, the flex wire inside the distributor grounding or, if you have one, the OD kickdown circuit. A bad connection at or thru ammeter would kill but should also not let it crank.

Since there is a separate terminal for coil only at the ign switch, maybe put your jumper on the one with several wires instead and see what happens.

Hi Eric,
I was having the same problem when I got mine; however, I made it further than you do before it would die. I did everything you have done.....new fuel pump, plugs, wires, rotor, condensor, cap, coil.

My car had a small Holden Carb on it that I knew was too small and I scored the correct carb on ebay and then a kit in it, and the problem finally went away.

But for all I know, I simply finally ran some old gas through it and got it to all clean fuel.

All I can say is keep pluggin away
