Greendragon,

This truck is truly an amazing beast! But it is only my second Mopar out of over 60 auto's....but probably my last! I only purchased this because of it's uniqueness... but there is a reason there were so few made... and to this day, no one wants it! I have two regrets in this life; selling my '66 vette and thinking this truck was valuable. This thing will prove to be a worse investment than ANY of my boats. Oh well. Just money; and there are no tolls on the road to hell.

I have been searching eBay and they have some company's with great feed back and cost about the same. Ebay has some real tough critics and their feedback says a lot from a lot of people... Just my

I will probably shop there if our's needs pipes.

Well everyone, if the weather works with me, our American Luxury Car will come home this coming weekend. (I was at a sushi bar and the owner came out to greet us and we were in the Cadillac and he says "Ahhh you like the Big American Luxury Cars" but you need to put the accent on those words to get the full effect )

I will have photos and commentary for all to enjoy!

Through the years there were several theories in lug nut rotation... Did Packard have any such illusuions?

My large Dodge COE hes right and left. My Pontiac does, my MCI does. What can I expect? from theses engineers?

It is a wacky idea that just didn't make it big. I am a big kid at heart. I have no need for dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers ect. I like to meander through the countryside without tearing it up. I have had minibikes since I was old enough to ride. This is a grown up minibike. I was in the right place at the right time. It it ready for paint and re-assembly.

Not nearly as collectable as a Cushman... but individualistic just the same.

Google: tule trooper. I can't seem to get my pix to post...

I will have to go out and look. I was marketed by Sears. I will look in the morning and post it then for you. I brought it in to photo then took it back out to the work shop.

cheers!

This one was marketed by Sears & Roebuck. I can't imagine it will make alot of difference with my actual climate, But it is a "cool" piece of automobile inventions if days gone by...

It does take ice, has built in bottle opener on the side (see pix), a place for maps in the front and a small "ice chest" for those tasty road soda's (Rainier-PBR?)

This is what I found on eBay a few months back. Got it for the Pontiac Wagon. It's a swamp cooler. Similar to the ones that used to be attached to the window. This one sits on the transmission hump and runs off the cigar lighter. This will be our "cool breeze" for the summer in both cars. Put ice in the back with some water, turn it on and poor mans A/C

Since some are listing actuals:

1948 Case VA Wide Front
1949 GMC 250
1956 Packard Patrician
1957 Dodge COE
1959 Chris Craft
1962 Pontiac Tempest Safari Wagon
1964 Tule Trooper
1969 Cadillac Sedan Deville
1972 MCI Bus
1989 Saab 900 Turbo (my commuter pod w/267k)
1991 Range Rover (tow vehicle)
1992 Jaguar XJS
1994 Taurus (donated to a struggling screen writer in CA)
1998 Range Rover HSE (wifes)
2007 Hyundai (Hospital commuter pod for the wifey)

Thanks everyone for sharing! Seems to be quite a bit of real life knowledge and experience here!

Aside from the Packard, all but Tule Trooper are running. And I know the Packard will!
