First, WELCOME Chad, to Packardinfo and a great group who will do all they can to answer any and all of your questions. There is a very knowledgeable corps of Packard folks here and they will be offering good advice shortly.
In the meantime some gent named Mal from Australia is going to come along and ask you for a small favor. Humor him as he really is a nice fellow. Again - WELCOME ABOARD!

G'day Chad,
Like to add my to that of Randy's. I'm the aforementioned gent you were "warned" about! However, you've beaten me to the punch by already including your '41 One-Twenty 4-Door Touring Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry here on PackardInfo, so my "gentle" reminder isn't needed, instead it's for doing so. Good to see another '41 in there! Concerning your questions, I checked the dome light cover in my '41 120 Club Coupe and it just pops out at a slight angle, see photos. While for the bulb in the trunk handle I think you may have to remove the handle to do that. I've had a quick look in the Project Blog I maintained during the rebuild of my Coupe but couldn't find anything specific there.

The dome light cover does come straight off as shown in the pictures above. They can be real tight if it hasn't been off in a while. There may be room to get a little pry action.
Voltage goes first to the light and then the back door switches and the pillar switch pull it to ground (car body) to complete the circuit. Jim

Mal & Jim,
The light cover did indeed pull straight down. Just had to slide a 90 degree pick under the edge to get some leverage. Must have been on there a long time. Thanks for the circuit explanation...I was wondering what was missing from the pillar. Now I know its a switch. Thank you for your help. Chad

Dell,
IT looks like the wire goes into an aluminum fluted cylinder. Is that part supposed to twist, or just pull straight out? It doesn't seem to want to budge for me...I didn't want to try too hard, so as not to damage anything. Thanks, Chad

Mal,
Just looked through the Pics of your '41 Coupe. Shes a beauty! Sounds like it was a fun adventure, when you came to the States to get her. Must stand out out in a sea of Holdens. :)

"Must stand out out in a sea of Holdens"
Chad, Not like that now, GMH(General Motors Holden) recently announced that it was closing down vehicle manufacture in Australia by 2017. Likewise with the locally produced Ford Falcon, it will be no more after 2016. The only local vehicle manufacturer remaining is Toyota with grave doubts it will continue. So maybe what needs to be said is - Must stand out in a sea of Hondas, Nissans, Mitsubishis, Mazdas, Kias, Hyundais, etc, etc. which it does!
