No
The left hand bulb originally had a bus bar in the socket that ran two filaments on both drive and high. The right hand side would dip for passing. That's why they have those left and right lenses.

This is getting interesting! I do not have the left light on the car, but do know that there is nothing like a connection of any kind in side the light as I have had it all apart and there is just the ground and the wheat color and green wires. I am on vacation and will look at the Y&Z wiring diagram when I get home. The previous owner had put the new loom in, but never connected any of the light. Dell

Probably the original Packard wiring diagram is a better reference than Y & Zs. It may be on this site, it's certainly on the PAC website under "Wiring" from the left-hand menu bar.
Here's some references, first from the Standard Auto Electrician's Manual, Edition T, though for the Super 8 I believe the Eight is the same and if you specifically want that one I can scan and add. The second reference is from the Packard Service Letters for 33-34.
