I did that on my 36 120 a few years ago and it worked fine. I had a local radiator shop do it and used the original tanks.

Ive had two of my Packards re-cored and they turned out great and run super cool.
Universal Carnegie did mine and seemed to have the best price at the time. Thansk Barry
