1935 LeBaron mystery car

This car appears to be a Twelve-cylinder LeBaron, that has had a body swap to something rather hideous. I've never seen this photo before, nor am I sure if many (or any) Packard Twelve experts have ever see it.
Is it possibly a former phaeton? Is it possibly the remains of the Macauley Bronze Bomber boattail speedster? Wonder whatever happened to it. Anyone recognize the license plate?

Yes. Obviously in England, and obviously a Rolls-Royce (or similar-type) body. Taken at Brooklands, actually.
It is also obvious that the body and the front end were not married to each other originally, which leads me to believe that this is a now-lost LeBaron custom that had a new body put on it.

Cyr represents original registration in Kent. Note the radiator cap.
I am sitting with the owner of the car next to it. True. Also a custom bodied Packard....

What do you see on the car next to it that tells you it's a custom-bodied Packard as well? Can you provide a photo of what you think it is?

I don't recall ever seeing a photo of this Twelve before either. It's an intriguing mystery how that came to be. With its badly mismatched beltline, that suggest possibly a body transferred from another chassis, or just poor taste if it was originally built for this chassis. The vent on the side of the cowl looks to be the same size and shape of the louver vents on the cowls of Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental coach-built bodies. I would love to see a rear three-quarters view if any exist. Steve

It is Colin's Carlton bodied '36 for certain. Also Colin revises his CYR reference that it is a London registration.
Also, Colin did not bid enough...who bought this picture?
