G'day ed-flip,
to PackardInfo. I, for one, will be following this blog with interest especially if you decide to go the 9 main engine route. You say you've been in touch with the Flackmaster, is that why you're interested in the 9 main route? Guy here in Oz has done that, with an OD trans as well, and is a friend of the Flackmaster. And, I invite you to include your '37 120 Touring Coupe in the Packard Owner's Registry.

howdy, no i'm gonna try and squeeze some power out of this 282 first, if I blow it up then i'll go for the 9 main. However I dont really know where to start, im thinking the dual carburetor manifold, maybe some head work, custom cam, i dunno but i need more power lol

Thank you for the links, I'll read into them a bit and see what I want to do. For now I'm trying to accumulate parts for the rebuild

1937 was Packard's highest sales year, so if you don't care for the sidemounts you may want to locate plain fenders and sell the welled ones with the associated hardware.
Sidemounts are a personal taste thing. I hope losing the boat trailer wheels is on the list!

Yea that was my plan. The sidemounts just arent my style. The wheels are definitely going away.
