Last morning of the Rally. All very informal, just pack up your Packard and checkout and leave. Some left about 6:00am and should be cleared by 10:00am when the Motel wants it's rooms back!

And Dave,

More pic's of the '34 1102. Bought by present owner John in 1962 who swapped a 1924 Model T Tudor Sedan(with a cosmetic restoration only) for the '34 1102 and AU$400. Had about 70,000 miles on it, now has almost 144,000 miles. The trunk is one bought at a swap meet years ago for $100, just a luggage box and which the owner is not keen on. All original except for seats being re-upholstered about 25 years ago. If you'd like to be put in contact with the owner please PM or email me.

G'day all, "Well done" to Mal for the great effort in posting each day's events on the 13th PACA rally. Mal also printed out a daily "Newsletter" handout, covering details of the occurrences on the previous day's run and a precis of the coming day's program. Mal, I wasn't in OD LOL. It was humming that day and I couldn't resist passing you.


All, I didn't get to crawl all over Mal's car, but it surely presents a good look after all his TLC. The chrome work was especially nice. The work on it paid off.

There are a fair few pic's of the '34 1102 there Dave.

Thanks so much for the detail photos, it's a lovely, lovely car and everything is as I would have expected with the exception of the location of the accelerator pedal. In other 1934 Eight RHD cars I've seen the accelerator is located BETWEEN the clutch and brake, not to the right side of the brake. Don't really know which is correct, perhaps both?

I've also always found it curious that Packard didn't simply exchange the positions of the clock and speedometer for RHD cars, the dash openings are identical I believe.

Did you notice that the accelerator pedal stop is between the brake and clutch? That would, to me, indicate the car originally had the pedal arrangement you describe. Jeez, that would be hard to get used to!
