Not a candidate for a concours third party restoration, but a car like this can be a birthday present for a 16 year old. An amateur DYI candidate can still be pretty authentic

This is so true, this is what I dragged home just before my 15th birthday. Bought her off Gramps for $100 (he had bought Mom's '72 Chevelle).
