Guys and Gals

My car has a radio with buttons on the bottom, are they supposed to be on top? 1953 Packard.

Thanks

Packard offered two radios in 1953. One with buttons on the top and one with buttons on the bottom. The radio with buttons on the bottom has a search bar on the top.

This is a picture of the radio on my Packard, 1953 Cavalier.

From what I've read the "other radio", the one with the search bar, was the WonderBar, also on some GM products, and is a bit involved to refurbish.

Not in front of my computer at the moment (on my phone), but if you look at my project blog, there are pictures of my dash with the deluxe radio, aka signal seeking, aka wonderbar.

I've searched everywhere for my Packard Pacific ECU, but it's no where to be seen. I guess I'll have to use one out of my 2017 DeSoto. I have a simple wonderbar radio, though. :)
