Good Morning all...I have just received two heat shields for our 1949 Deluxe 288 engine. from Max. I was going to do the install this weekend, but in looking at the shields for the fuel pump and carburetor, I don't quickly see how they mount. Does anyone happen to have a photograph of these guys mounted on an engine? Thanks, Ernie, caretaker of 'Miss Prudence'.

The carburetor heat shield is specific to the 356 engine and thus may not fit without modification but for those engines the shield has two welded legs with a hole at the end of each and these go over the two inboard carburetor mounting studs.

If memory serves on the pump shield, at the top it attaches to the front-most manifold bolt and at the bottom end it has an L bracket which is attached under the rearmost fuel pump mounting bolt.
