I don't have a photo handy, but there was no inner trim panel from the factory. You saw the backside of the quarter panel and the house for the filler neck.

This is what I see. Don't think ground should be in the picture....

Looks like part of the floor panel is missing. Packard calls that side piece a floor pan rear extension. Believe it spot welds or otherwise attaches directly to the quarter panel.

Looks like part of the inner fender well is missing, not shown in that picture. The gas nozzle shroud attaches to it and has a bottom lip to attach the trunk pan. You should not be able to see the ground for there. It's all enclosed, that's why they had to cut it out to gain access.
