Hey all, i saw the post about the conversion kits from the Packard to Olds oil pumps. However the post is from 2010. is that still a good contact number for Jack Vines? Just wanted to verify since my 352 is getting a lifter tick after warm up.

Others can better say if the info is still correct but Jack is on the forum regularly so if you are logged in you can also send him a private message via the send message link on his user profile.

You can just add a quart of oil and it would probably fix it if it's not too bad.

In case you didn't know it, with the conversion you will lose the vacuum boost for your wipers so you'll have to use a dual diaphragm pump or you'll need to convert them to electric. Packard was rather unusual in having the booster in the pan with the oil pump so the conversion doesn't have that.

Gotcha, the previous owner had actually converted the wipers from vacuum to electric already.

The early '50s Cadillac V8 oil pumps also had a vacuum pump on the bottom; albiet a shorter version of the same design.
