I can't help either but John Ulrich reproduces the gearsjulrichpackard.com/window_door_parts.htm I see one of them attaches to the window shaft with a pin and the other type is pressed on. From the basic illustration in the parts manual, the shaft appears to be part of the frame so maybe welded on???? Wonder if John would have insight as to what is happening on yours or maybe a drawing to share.

Thanks you for the website imfo - I will look into it. Also is there anyway you could send me that drawing from the manual? I don't seem to be able to find it. Thanks again Denny

Not a complete drawing. Just shows the different style vent windows and the pivot stem off the bottom of frame. For the complete page and the rest of the parts it is page 22 of group 30 in 35-41 parts manual.

I think Howard describes it well. I replaced a gear on one of my vent windows and it is easy to do and all is revealed about the mechanism when you have the window out. I got my gear from John Ulrich and it works like new.

Hello
I have a '37 115C with vent window apart. Did you ever find a good assembly diagram? The parts book lists part numbers but drawings are sparse and not so helpful. thanks

Not familiar with the 115 but if it has a crank mechanism that is anything similar to the 40 senior models there are a few photos of that assy on this project blog.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb ... 3376&post_id=227731#forumpost227731
