Looking for turquoise paint number for 1955 clipper

Hi everyone, I just purchased a 1955 super clipper. I want to paint the car two tone turquoise and white. I cannot find a modern paint number for the turquoise colour. I took the paint number 2159 to the paint store... It meant nothing to them. Does anyone have any modern paint chip numbers for DuPont or nutech paint?
Thanks

I used them for my lacquer. They mixed up the exact color needed.

I can find the DuPont numbers for you next time I go to town,
My local mom and pop auto supply store has been selling DuPont auto paint since 1948.
Now bare in mind the numbers I can get are from the 1955 DuPont paint chip books.
Don't know if the numbers will be of any use anymore but worth a try if you want me to look.
Just let me know and I will do it for you.
Bill

57 pack, that would be great. that 2159 number that I got off the internet is supposed to be the DuPont number.... but meant nothing to the store. So any help would be great. Randy, I will look at giving them a call to see if they can help too. Thanks guys!

You might check the literature page and specifically the Packard paint chip section. There are several different mfgs 1955 charts and numbers available. The old numbers won't do a lot of good as far as anyone being able to make the paint because of the different compounds today but is a start.

TCP Globalautocolorlibrary.com doesn't list Packard or some of the other long obsolete cars in the drop down menu so that you can look the info up yourself but I expect they have the data. Perhaps giving their support line a call with a few old numbers in hand will get a modern cross and even the paint.

Good Morning all...When I needed touch up paint for our 1949 Deluxe 'Miss Prudence' I went to Space Age Paint in Mesa, Arizona. They had old paint chips from 1949, however they e-mailed Dupont and asked for a current formula that would make the 1949 color. About two weeks later, Dupont responded with the modern formula. I suspect that a big automotive paint supplier in your area could do the same thing. The paint match was really close and it does look perfect in some lighting situations. Ernie

Ok, I will give it a go for you and post what I find. Also will get DuPont's info number. I think DuPont has spun off their automotive paint division.
Think the new company is called Exalta or something like that.
Will post what I find.
