Pat, I have a Packard coat-of-arms window transfer (read, decal). It is 11" wide and 15" long. These transfers were displayed on dealership windows. I got it off of eBay a few years ago. It is now in a frame and mounted on the wall in the window space of my Packard plant door. I have no idea of the age. It is a clear and sharp image. I could try and post a photo if you would like.

Back when the Packard dealership in Dallas TX was demolished, Jim Hollingsworth saved the cast metal door push plates. They were about 12" high and three dimensional. Jim had a mold made and for a number of years, the Packards North Texas club sold aluminum and brass ones. The aluminum ones were available in painted or polished versions. ( I know as I inherited the job of painting them for a while). I still have a painted one; I'll post a photo of it later.

Pat, et. al. - Here are two photos of my Packard coat-of-arms decal. A long shot showing the framed decal with the Packard plant door and a close-up. Just thought folks here would be interested in seeing the large decal. Maybe it will help with your club project.

Here is a question maybe someone can answer. On the coat of arms... under and to the right there are pelican chicks being or waiting to be fed. In the picture above, there are 4 chicks. On my 1952 Packard there are 5 little chicks. Is this relative to the year? 5 for the 50s and 4 for the 40s etc?
Food for thought.

25 years in the MP Corps never prepared me for a 52 Packard that sat sealed off from the world for 40 years!

Sorry Mark (mnrhuff).
Randy, the form of the beak causes your "swan thesis" to totter. Your reputation as ornithologist is at stake. [picture source: www.autobild.de]
