Bill, I'm in Germany and believe to know how it feels to live in a foreign country and wait for parts or substantial replies but after reading your list I admire your considerable amount of patience! The following will not help you to bury the jinx but according to my experience with Stuart Blond your almost endless and nerve-racking waiting time seems to be a kind of jinx. I consider myself very lucky to have had the opportunity to enjoy his helpful and capable advise and when I recommended the quality of his support to friends scattered to the four winds in Europe their feedback has been positive.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you will receive the ordered parts as soon as possible.

Edit: I don't know if you know that Fred Kanter is a member of PackardInfo and online almost every second day. This way to send him a PM.

Are you saying that you have yet to receive a single part?

I understand that it might take a bit longer for you to receive an overseas shipment, but something is wrong with this picture.

My advice would be to pick-up the phone, call Kanter Auto, and ask to speak with someone other than Stuart Blond.

I agree that Daytona is that place to buy Carb kits from, also I think they are the supplier of kits to most of vendors as well. The Carb kit on my car was purchased from PI, but was a Daytona kit which PI resells.

Hank, take a look at carb #2. For decades semi-immersed in Russian dirt and beyond recognition, literally on my knees I digged it out of frozen lumps of earth, together with three dozens of small parts, terminally rusty as I deemed...

Bill, I think you got the message.
