Yes she did arrive. Many pics and videos. I spent the the whole afternoon getting her running and the brakes working with my Dad. Took her for a drive down the street and back. Need to rest and will post pics and videos tomorrow. I have lots to figure out and learn about.

Flackmaster.... Trailer... Yes trailer...

I finally went through all of the paperwork that came with the car. I still need to get a good look at the dash. the dash light and overhead light did work and then stopped after I pulled on some round thing and a cap came off. I'm guessing it is for a fuse maybe. haven't looked really close yet.

being this has been converted to 12v negative ground...its going to be a chore trying to figure out all the wiring. I want to make sure it is all still safe and not frayed anywhere. don't want a fire.

it does have an alternator on it instead of generator. it was charging at 14.5 volts. not bad. headlights are much brighter and of course have sealed beam halogens in it.

we got the motor running after checking over as much as we could think of. we forgot to check the trans gear oil. I got some chatter in second gear, not sure if it is bearing, clutch, gears, or what.

had to bleed the brakes as they were bone dry. in the one video you can see me testing them to make sure they are working before I pulled into the street.

we did grease the waterpump as it was making a bearing noise on startup.

the carb was changed out to a Carter WDO and looking back at the old video of the car from my grandfather...it was on there then as well. the only problem is the air breather doesn't sit right because of the choke on the side of the carb. is there another breather I could get?

the gas cap was very loose and you can see why. the seal was dried up. so I cut a new one out of some rubber I had and it worked like a charm.

the old gas was drained and new put in, then i found like 8 cans of lead additive in the trunk....so i dumped some in. I'm assuming that means it has no hardened seats.

I have several questions for everyone that is willing to answer, but I need to make a list.

also...if anyone was wondering....I have a 19' garage and the car is from door to door with about 2" to spare on each end. I got lucky!

Hank,

Congratulations, look like a fine Packard. Your "young feller", Henry Lee Greene V, is certainly growing up!

Henry,

Congratulations.

I will have to see if I have any pictures of this car back when.
Can you take pictures of the jump seat handles?
