Two beauties, both original and unmolested. A 1925 Packard (236) coupe by Merrimac, and a 1931 Chrysler phaeton, probably by LeBaron. The Merrimac coupe was driven last year from Seattle to Pebble. (PS - the emblem on the radiator core of the Merrimac is a Pennsylvania auto club insignia).

John Shireman asked for more pictures of the Labourdette PIII. Here's the only other shot I have, courtesy of Mr. Ole Book.

I don't remember to have seen before a convertible with a combination of a frameless windshield and frameless side windows. How to hold the roof?

Glad you enjoyed the pictures, I thought they would have gotten a bit more comment. I can't answer if the windshield glass is solid or laminated, I just didn't look. I've only seen one other car with frameless front and side glass, also European-bodied, possibly a Lagonda, a Voisin, or maybe a Horch - I just can't jog my memory now.

You can see two gold-plated snap fasteners at the upper outer corners of the windshield for holding the top bow.

PS - I just see that I do have 2 other pictures of the Labourdette, photos again by John Harley. Also, I'll add some photos of a 1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost tourer. Noteworthy if for no other reason in that it was driven quite a significant distance to the meet. You can understand why perhaps 60% of the cars were trailered, their value is just inestimable.

Dave,
I'll bite! The thing is I enjoy all the pic's for posting them, quite a selection of impressive vehicles, but the one that really catches my eye is the RR Labourdette PIII which I find quite striking.

EDIT - There's another pic of the RR Labourdette PIII here -topklasse.net.au/forums/showthread.php?t=1097

Dave,

Thanks tons for posting these picts. That 236 is stunning. Unbelievably good shape for a car that old. Also, in the second photo of the red Rolls, is that your car behind it?

Thanks again,

Tom

Yes Tom, sharp eyes! Be it ever so humble amongst such an eclectic crowd, that my 34 sedan in the background.

Here's a couple of view of that Merrimac taken a few years ago at a different venue. It's really quite exceptional.

Dave,

Thanks for the pics. Some very exceptional vehicles that I've only seen in magazines. Looks like the weather held up nicely too. Always a plus this time of year.
