How to define the meaning of the word "seldom":

Seldom is the TV appearance of a Packard in a German movie!
"Flight into Danger" is a 1956 Canadian television film but the talk is of the German version of this television film. According to wikipedia it was produced in 1964 under the translated German title "Flug in Gefahr".

I think the car in Patton is excusable. They would have had to get a 42/ or earlier. #1 how many of those were still around in the 70's, #2 even if they could find one, what owner would let them modify the car for world war II cover ups like green paint, painted over bumbers etc.

Tonight saw a '37? Super Eight in the Ingmar Bergman movie Wild Strawberries tonight. Took some pic's of the TV screen, didn't expect them to turn out! The trailer of the movie, in the link above, contains some of the Packard footage at about the 1:20 mark.

She could have saved herself a lot of trouble if she had just trapped him in the ointment.

The 1940 movie ""The Doctor Takes a Wife" with Loretta Young and Ray Milland was shown on TCM in Canada earlier this evening and the opening several minutes shows the good doctors car which appears to be a 1936 120 rumble seat convertible coupe.

Last night another Loretta Young movie" Wife, Husband, and Friend", had a Packard as well. 1939 was when it was made, starring Warner Baxter as her husband.

Beat me to mentioning TCM showing Doctor Takes A Wifelast night. Car shows up towards the end also. Yesterday The Haunting was also shown-looks like a 51 shows up as a taxi cab towards the end of film bringing the phenomenon researcher's wife to haunted house.
