I have called and left Bill a message with with my needs.

Seems logistics on parts today are long lead times.

Was hoping and looking forward to taking the Packard to a fundraiser car show for a Humane Society this Sunday but will have the take the GTO instead.

Update

I purchased a new/rebuilt fuel pump and rebuild kit for the pump I have from Max Merritt. I will rebuild the pump I have and keep it on the shelf as a back up.


Tire tube arrived yesterday and I installed it today. Also got the new fuel pump install.

The Packard is purring once again

Thanks. It sure feels good to get it out again.

Last few years I was taking care of my stepfather. He passed away last November after a long battle of infections from a botched knee replacement he had done years ago. He is not suffering anymore and I am sure he is holding hands with my mother (she passed away at the young age of 49 in 1993) once again.


I sure will try be more active here now. As we know how it goes to keep our beloved Packards running. There is always a need for the good sound advice here.

Took the Packard into work today.

Rolled into work about 5:45am.

First time I have been out with it when it was still dark or at night. The Led headlight bulbs I installed in 2017 lite up the road nicely.

Hey Tom,

I am just catching up to the re-emergence of "old Bessie". She sure looks great ! Glad to see her and you out and about again. Let me know if you're going to attend something in the western 'burbs in the near future. Maybe we can meet up and catch up.

Even if there are no events maybe we can just meet up at some local place and make our own Packard show sometime. Maybe Kev will come out too.

Next project and a big one is replacing the leaf springs and having the rear end gone through to have the seals replaced etc..

I may have posted this before but I am having some premature tire wear on the front tires hopefully when I replace the front springs and have an alignment it should cure it?

Took the Packard out for a 35 mile drive today and the odometer hit 101,000 miles.
