Hey, if a Cadillac can be created from a Chevy Cavalier, why can't a Beretta spawn this. Ugh.

Hi

More real Packards, the Pacific Northwest this time:

A '25 Six 333 phaeton project, expensive:

Two '37 115's:
A sedan, sweet condition:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/5435416177.html

A coupe, less so:

A '39 Six sedan, ready to enjoy:
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/5460203599.html

Last, a '53 Convertible, rough project but worthwhile:

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Looks like a '55 Clipper Super sedan to me, but the sellwe claims it's a 1956:

Not my cup of tea but nevertheless it was a packard:

IIRC this was a car that belonged to a forum member here:

This could be a beautiful car, but this 1 has some very obvious flaws. Who dreamt up this color combo? It's not my cup of tea. The data plate is not original and the numbers are not for this car. That ugly alternator is an eyesore. What's up with the angle of the gearshift? That's just the tip of the iceberg.

On that white car, I find pre-war cars painted white completely incorrect and odd. When I mean white, I mean white, not cream/ivory or any other yellowish-white color. White was traditionally reserved for service vehicles (police/ambulance/milk truck/construction/plumbers/etc). So every time time I see someone paint a pre-war car white, I always think "There goes another milk wagon!". Just my opinion.

I agree. I think that when you see a pre-war car painted in 1950 O'Keefe & Merritt appliance white, it was usually used for wedding service and inevitably has a tilt-wheel and everything that goes with it. I believe that car was modified here in the KC area .

go to all maroon and it's a pretty car (well, a quart of engine enamel wouldn't hurt, either). Any info on the gearshift?

Wow, that's garish to a fault. Is Barnum & Bailey missing one of their circus wagons?

And get rid of that hideous oil filter and buggered oil lines from the cooler - a replacement filter in the correct configuration has been available for a long time.
