Only think I need to figure is if the bands are good enough to last, or should I source replacements.

Replace them and get the new lining. Then run modern trans fluid.

Trying to figure out the part numbers on these two jumper tubes:

Click to see original Image in a new window

They are two different sizes, but in parts plate 39 (55/56 ultra rear pump) I only see 3.6805 listed.

I see in the parts list (pages 55-56) that they also list 3.6803 and 3.6808. Which one is the other jumper?

I think it must be 3.6808 based on the need for two o-rings.

New bands in the works and also a few other parts to make the transplant smoother.

Also won this on eBay, so closer working on another transplant.

Mal, my shipping was significantly cheaper!

Next is to head to Gerry's in San Diego and pick up the rest of the steering gear.

Must be great to have a Packard Parts Store "just around the corner"!

I'm saying that after googling San Diego to Riverside which came up as 87 miles. It also gave me 7,516 miles from San Diego to the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta Australia!
