Prewar windows were hydraulic but did have suction involved.
Prewar pumps ran both directions. Running one direction supplied pressure to raise the window. A solenoid valve kept the window in position. To lower, the valve was opened and pump was reversed to provide a suction action to pull the fluid back to the reservoir. In addition to that suction there was a spring at each window to assist the emptying. Postwars were simplified and had pumps running in a single direction only. Pressure was used to raise he window. When lowering, pump stayed off and the solenoid valve opened. A heavy spring exerted pressure at the cylinder to force the fluid back to the reservoir.

There's so many things wrong with this but you could drive a packard convertible for $16.5k
minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/5683392321.html I called on the 37 super eight club sedan, and it sounds like it has some engine trouble.

Once again they put the name Packard on the valve covers.
Very childish. The kind of thing a 3rd grader does when he puts Harley stickers on his bicycle. Those junk rodders really blow my mind.

That Exec is priced near the apex of the market. Poor photos & none of the interior. Description is lacking. Hmmm.
