Gosh, BDC. Wow! A 1937 Packard 110! That's got to be one of the rarest of all Packards. I'm sure there can't be more than several thousand still in existence. If I had $80,000 laying around, this would definitely be my first choice in Packards, especially with a Chevrolet small block V-8.
But seriously, it bothers me a lot that some moron would dump an engine as good as the original straight 6 that came with this car. I rode in a similar car -- a 1938 110 -- and I liked it a lot. It may have been Packard's lowest priced car that year, but there was nothing cheap about it and restored as it was, the 110 was certainly a great looking model. I know that there is a place in this world for customs. I guess I just don't like to see Packards as such.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

Not a CL, but an interesting car, missing the push button

I got to view the car in person and it's very nice. The seller is actually a small private dealer and he said he mainly buys and sells Packards--how cool! If anyone buys it let us know how it turns out.

I've looked at that car previously and it does appear to be a very nice Custom 8. I'm guessing that the photo of the Briggs tag (4th photo) is from another vehicle.

Nice car. Does seem to be missing the pear wood panels from the doors. Non-Packard color but it suits the car.
