Hello all. Just bought a 49 Deluxe here in Ontario Canada. I have been browsing the site and I'm amazed at the info thats here. It has already been a help. This is not my first Packard, but the first one I can drive. The first one was a 1921 116. It was a basket case and decided it was more that what I wanted to take on. Sold it to a gentleman here in my area. Great site. I hope as I learn about my car that I may be able to contribute. Cheers!

If it won't move, get a bigger wrench.
If it breaks, it needed fixing anyway.

Thank you! I'm quite pleased with it. My wife and I were out for the maiden voyage yesterday, While she was in the store I had at least 4 people come and talk to me about the car, wanting to know about it and what was under the hood. I just have to figure out the overdrive, I don't think it's working. Gas consumption was, in my opinion a little more that what I though it should be for driving about an hour one way running about 55 MPH.

There must be someone here more familiar with these cars who can direct you to a vendor or vendors. Do you need the whole grille, or just parts?

Pictures help.

Condition is very important and very subjective. My one piece of advice is to buy from a trusted vendor if possible,,,,which is where others on this site can help the most....

Good luck!

G'day SHOW DAWG,
to PackardInfo.

Can't help you directly with your search but see there's this 53-54 Grill presently on eBay. Don't know if would be for your Cavalier as I understand there are differences in the grills for different models. Maybe someone more learned can advise?

And I have a request of you, could you please include your '53 Cavalier in the Packard Owner's Registry here on PackardInfo!
