55 NC Clipper

55 o 56 grill

Hi all, So long story short. I picked up front bumper a few years ago to fit on my 55 clipper and come to find out it is a 56 bumper. And apparently they do not fit with a 55 grill (bumper bullets are closer to center). So my question is, will a 56 grill with a 56 bumper fit my clipper? I'm not worried about originality. I know the 56 has the those pieces that wrap around the front fender but I think those are separate pieces.

That will bolt right in. But then you still have to figure out what to do with your park/turn lights.

What is the difference with the lights?

The bumpers are denominational the same but the issue comes in the grills. the Dogmars on 55 are closer to the center where the 56 are closer to the ends of the bumper. The Grill will not fit since the Dogmars are in the wrong position.

Some have re-drilled the bumper to relocate the Dogmar, but its alot of work to get straight.

If by chance you want to unload the 56 bumper to look for a 55 hit me up.

I am not familiar with dagmars. Are those the bullets? I have a lead on a 56 grill and according to Ross that should bolt right in. But I am still not understanding the turn signal issue. Are they in the wrap around pieces on a 56?
