Hi
The article writer seems to confuse low production numbers with a lack of buyer interest. High prices certainly narrowed the pool of buyers. More importantly, the drumbeat of bad news about Studebaker-Packard's financial condition during early 1956 gave many prospective owners pause to reconsider a purchase. One might have to put up with other Eldorados showing up often in the country club parking lot but when it came to trade-in time, taking less of a bath was important too. Steve
