Some new images related to the Briles Motor Company. A Hudson has been included, too, as part of the history of this dealer.
Thank you Jody!

Briles Motor was an old-time Packard dealer, going back at least to the 30s and located at 215-217 East Main Street, Leesburg. They were serviced by the Packard Florida Motors Company, Jacksonville, FL.

There are folks who insist that the small painted section of body between the front parking light fascia (on the side) and the front bumper extension should be the bottom color on tri-color Caribbeans. This photo (as well as many other "of the era" photos) argues against that. One source for the confusion was the photo of a restored Caribbean in the Fenster book which many, since it was "restored", assumed to be correct.

O_D, the color does not look like the top portion nor the bottom portion, but something in between.

Absolutely! That little area should be the middle body color on tri-color Caribbeans.

I think JW meant that the color in that section doesn't appear to match the top, middle or bottom color. Looks like a quad-colored Caribbean. Too bad the photo isn't in color.

Is this car the same as the one from Valdosta?

Now it would be interesting to find a picture of the car-o-van like the one in this thread;

I believe that number 1 causes confusion. It is a decorative screen which looks like a colored area. Dave (O_D) is talking about number 2 and 3.
