Hello, friends!

I'm Scott, and I live in Northern California and I just turned 50. I grew up in Miami and admired my neighbor's Clipper Custom Constellation down the street when I was a kid, it made an impression on me. I've owned a lot of tri five chevies since then and when the opportunity came for me to get this '56 Clipper Deluxe I decided to go for it.
Bought the car on Ebay and took a train 250 miles south to bring her home, just hoping she would make it.

The good news is that she did make it home, and the car is what you call a survivor, an unmolested original.
Originally solid Holland Blue, she has been resprayed Adriatic Blue, with quite the patina.
I plan to go back to the original Holland Blue which some call Turquoise.

The Car was sold new in San Francisco, has zero rust and a two barrel carb and MANUAL WITH OVERDRIVE!!
Great car, shes a keeper.

With help here I need to fix the wipers and the speedo.
Also want a running Borg clock.

Will also post some pix of my interior needs, grateful to have this group.

Hi Scott

Welcome! You found the friendliest, most knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic Packard guys on the web ready to answer any and all questions and assist with parts and repair advice! Looks as if you've bought a good, solid Clipper Deluxe you can enjoy immediately, the stick with overdrive is a great combination.

Please consider starting a blog in the Project Blog section to chronicle your progress and post your questions. It makes finding the answers for later reference much easier.

Again welcome, glad to have you in the Packard circle and that your Clipper now has an appreciative new owner!

Steve

.....epigram time.....
Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.
