I know it's only pics but this car looks the part, why do you think no bids? Seems like a decent deal.

Good question. Certainly looks like a nice car although being fairly plain jane, maybe the starting bid is scaring them off. Interesting it has auto and TL yet the only other power accessory is the antenna.

I think you're right about the high starting bid. It seems good Packards on Ebay or other cars for that matter will bring their value if you just start the bidding low--kind of strange but it's something about that low starting bid.

Interesting that someone would order or buy a 2-door hardtop without power anything...

Was it late in 1955 when TL became more-or-less standard equipment on all Packards?

I am not being picky, but is the engine color correct for the car and the year. I think the price is reasonable. you would spend more than that to get a lesser car to that shape. If I were not bogged down with other projects i might give a go.

Could be wrong but I think the Panama was on the 5540 Deluxe/Super chassis so red would be correct -- although it looks dark. Whether it could be the photo or maybe not the right shade of red is a question. Most glaring thing I see would be the Packard valve covers are incorrect for a Clipper. Still a nice car though.

Pretty sure I did some work on that car about 10 years ago for the old man, and it was a very nice one. Oddly equipped--notice it does not have the usual accessory group with the washers, trunk light, and backups. Makes me like it even more.
