Hey Joey,
I've had the same problem. I thought about double sided tape and decided it was too wimpy. So, I heard about this stuff called JB Weld that I am going to try. Works especially well on woodgrained metal and there's probably a money back guarantee to hold crowns to dashboards. I'll let everybody know how it works.

Dear bhappy:
Thank you for the great picture. The only thing missing is the lighted plastic wings option. I cannot understand bolting hood ornaments on top of hood ornaments. That's what they do with low riders, pimp rides, hotrods, and hillbilly trucks. It just reminds me of the slums. Didn't Cheech and Chong have a bird bolted onto the hood of a 64 Chevy in the movie "Up in Smoke"? If someone wants to put a 1934 ornament on a 1949 car then just french the dumb thing on and throw away the original. Otherwise is just looks like a bird sitting on top of a house or the local drug dealer's car. Heck, why not bolt on some fender lights too?

Oh the humanity! I guess the atrocities have been with us for quite a while. Not sure if the lighted wings were available....

I've seen pictures of the "mythical" Mac Arthur Packard Clipper Staff Car that had the commorant using the standard Clipper mascot as a surf board
Stacking hood ornaments atop one another does seem a little much to me but I suppose I do things that defy the logic/good taste of others as well. PS. Spell Check is back at my end.

y'know I've gotten so used to my hood ornament as it sits on the hood of my car. When displaying it at the different car shows, most don't even know what a Packard 'is', let alone that the hood ornament is incorrect.
I have all the different hood ornaments that were correct for my car, the stylized 'Goddess Of Speed', the 'wings-up' cormorant, and the 'egyptian' 50the anniversary ornament. All look fantastic and I still have the 'mythical comsumation ceremonial' ornament as well
