My 1939 Packard hearse

Our hearse is finally finished (almost - is a car ever finished?)

Ok, we cheated a bit. We replaced the engine, transmission and suspension with modern counterparts, because we are using the car almost on a daily basis :)- as a hearse!

But the basics are there. Doesn't she look good?

It is indeed a lovely car. Clearly, with the modern drivetrain and suspension it will serve your business well, and most observers will not have a clue.

I doing a similar mechanical conversion of one of my '47 Clippers -- and partly because it will be a daily driver.

I would enjoy hearing how your newly re-christened hearse works out.

Mike,

Great to see your hearse looking so good now.

I'd be interested to see a pic of the rear. Especially if the licence plate light is the one I sent you!

It has the plate light :) thanks for that. There was a scramble for a lot of little parts that the restorer neglected to tell me were missing or broken, but most of the stuff is there. I just have to start the fine tuning now :) I will take a pic of the back and post it
