Antiquecarman,

Do you know Chuck Murphy in Packards North Texas. He might be able to give you some ideas, he is also in horseless carriage.

Checked with the 1919 Twin Six owner but his doesn't have the compartments. Also checked with a Twin Six owner from New Zealand, he has two, but neither of his have the compartments. Sorry.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

Kudos goes to Tim Cole for his info on the compartments being there for the side curtain rods.
I found that is 100% correct.
Now just wish I had a set of those rods!

Dear antiquecarman:

Thanks for the great compliment.

The rods are easy to fabricate. The typical restoration of an open car has at least one being made from stock. Or a set copied from borrowed samples.

You might try some of the museums, such as Nethercutt, and ask if they can make up a blueprint of what they have on hand. With today's camera phones, pictures are easier than ever.

You should also inquire as to the curtains themselves, as your top may require some updating to accomodate the curtains.

Hope this helps.
