can you guys tell me what you are referencing, I cannot find what you are talking about. I don't see where I talked about drill bits in the last 2 pages of post. I must be blind.

thanks to a local friend for letting me borrow the special tool for tightening the nut on those two switches. I tried to make my own using a 1/4" allen wrench and 3/16 drill bit. I went through 4 drill bits and I wasn't even half way done drilling. if I had a drill press it would have been easier though. its totally doable. Post 1895. You can also use a 1/4 hex standoff and drill the threaded center out. Some local stores carry them as coupling nuts. Can't remember the size but think it may be 6-32

Put the dash in temporarily, I have a new acquisition that I have to go over and will probably need the bench top space where the dash was sitting.

got this for my birthday, that's a good excuse right! that's what I'll say to my wife anyways! lol!
I'll probably never repair them, but hey I have the matching set and all of the accessories attached to go with my intake manifold and air cleaner. I see these as an investment for the future. financially I shouldn't have, but seriously...this was a smoking deal for all of that and I have a disease called Packard. not gonna post what I paid, but those competent enough with ebay should beable to figure it out. it was less then I would expect to pay for just one carb with none of the accessories, lets just say that. The carbs are not beyond repair by someone competent. I also have two 4gc 7230 for a clipper that could be used for parts. I still plan on dual fuel injection from fitech.
