G'day Craig,
1st post, so to Packardinfo. Sorry, but I can't help with your query. And please don't forget to add your Packard to the Owner's Registry together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it.

Thanks Mal and Thomas, The photo of the trunk on the 36 is the right idea, but this trunk is simply belted to the rack (and you probably knew that.) The photo shows the two tapped holes in the trunk rack where an assembly would bolt and i believe these holes are only on the right side as shown. So the parts book is showing the correct picture. I now see the spread bumper guards (which is correct for factory rack on 36 120) will not allow the trunk to tilt far enough over.
Thanks to all for any help on this. Craig

I have bumper castings and the curved hinges for your trunk rack. I was going to install a rack on my '37 115c but decided on a interior instead and a new focus on a '46 LWB. Let me know. #309.935.6022 (IL)

Hi 46Limo, i went back a edited my original post. I did not explain my needs very well. I actually have a nice oem rack. I just need the additional pieces to fasten a trunk to the rack that allows the trunk to tilt out of the way allowing the trunk lid to open. thank you

Craig,
for adding your '36 to the Owner Registry. I noticed there wasn't a pic of the '36 so if you're having trouble adding a pic this topic help. packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1944&forum=4

120
I have a set of oem "hinges" for my trunk that allow it to swing forward rather than off to the side. I'll try and get a picture taken of them to post. I don't know if they'd be correct for the 120 or not...

Hi Mal, i will try and get a photo up soon.
Thanks West, a picture always seems the best answer and if it does not apply directly to my case, others will want to know. I now look at the factory parts manual drawing in post #1, and the prop rod does not make sense, as the center of gravity of an empty trunk, tilted that far, would mean the rod is not "propping" but instead "holding" the trunk from going further over center. Any Packard owners out there with this trunk gear?

My trunk is in the basement, but my car is a 100-mile round trip. I hope I put the brackets in my trunk.
