This car looks amazing

Well... I finally made it to a show this year. Drove the 1,000-mile round-trip to Hershey and back, and without any problems... other than running out of gas. (Is it considered "running out of gas" if you're able to roll up next to the gas pump and act as if nothing of concern was going on?? -- this, after the car quit while cresting a hill on the Pa. Turnpike then rolling down a 3-mile-long hill.)

I put the car in the regular judging class, where it received a 2nd place trophy.

It must be nice, West, to dust off the baby every couple of years, take it to a show, and bring home a 1st place until next time. Congrats!

Ha. This car is far from babied, and I usually use it all summer long. My time this summer has been taken up by a different Packard project. I'm not sure it warrants a whole different thread, so I'll report here.

Drove to Auburn again this year, and received an AACA First Junior award!!

Been playing with some new wheels and tires after I discovered they were an option. Tried with white sidewall first, then decided I prefer the black. Doesn't look extremely good in photos, but in person it looks terrific. Got a lot of compliments on it.

Congrats.

I would say I like it without the white walls, looks kind of dark. Kind of like a Dark good character in a suspense movie!
