Sorry - very basic question....How do I access Battery? From looking under the car I can see that it's under the drivers seat. How do I get at it?

Thank You

Assuming it's no different than other Packards of the era, remove the seat cushion and open the cover over the battery (if it's still present). If the cover is missing, that presents a hazard so I strongly suggest you get a replacement.

You can open both front doors and tilt the bottom seat cushion up and forward from the the rear side. Use a fat screw driver or coin to twist the lock, and lift.

To replace, fit the tongue on the passenger side in the slot, then twist the lock. Lift the front bottom edge of the seat cushion on the frame on passenger and on the driver's side, then push down on the back of the seat cushion.
